St. Clare of Assisi Parish Mission Statement
Dedicated under the Patronage of St. Clare of Assisi, we bear the Four Marks of the Catholic Church united in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. We become the Body & Blood of Christ living as a Family of Faith and a School of Prayer through our Apostolic and Community-Minded Endeavors to spread the Gospel. Baptized with these Four Marks, like St. Clare, we proclaim the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ – “If you are what you should be, you will set the whole world afire.”

PRAYER AGAINST CORONAVIRUS
St. Clare of Assisi Parish Time for Prayer during the Coronavirus
St. Alphonsus Liguori in the 18th century:
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Oh Jesus, I turn toward the holy tabernacle where You live hidden for love of me. I love you, O my God. I cannot receive you in Holy Communion. Come, nevertheless, and visit me with Your grace. Come spiritually into my heart. Purify it. Sanctify it. Render it like unto Your own. Amen.
Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed. Amen!
You just need to approach God with sincerity, humility and a desire to follow in His footsteps in acts of faith and charity. And He’s delighted when we do so! The Baltimore Catechism notes that a Spiritual Communion “is an act of devotion, and one very pleasing to God.”
St. Jean-Marie Vianney, a French priest famous for converting countless souls to Christ in his parish of Ars in the 19th century, once said “when we feel the love of God growing cold, let us instantly make a Spiritual Communion. When we cannot go to the church, let us turn towards the tabernacle; no wall can shut us out from the good God.” We can indeed be grateful for that!
